Jomo Kenyatta University Of Agriculture And Technology Cbd Campus, The Nairobi CBD Campus is housed in the state of-the-art architectural masterpiece, JKUAT TOWERS owned by the University in the heart of the City of Nairobi along the busy and strategic Kenyatta Avenue. The Campus currently occupies 11th to 14th floors with executive lecture hall, ICT laboratories, library and Administration offices across the floors.

Nairobi CBD Campus is a model higher education center established in response to growing Higher education needs in Kenya. In particular, the Campus is bridging the ever rising demands of University education for people who are busy with work both in Public and Private sector enterprises, the executives and dignitaries in various sectors and the young KCSE graduates in order to moderate the increasing problems of accessibility as a result of problems in work-life balance. As such, the campus offers flexible schedules depending on the needs of the students with diverse interests. We have a day classes, evening classes and week end classes on Saturday and Sundays.

The Campus has administrative and academic departments all headed by the Director. There are four academic departments each headed by Associate Chairpersons and one Consultancy Centre headed by a Manager. These are:

  1. Commerce and Economic Studies (CES)
  2. Department of Entrepreneurship and Procurement (EPD)
  3. Department of Pure and Applied Sciences (PAS)
  4. Department of Information Technology (IT)
  5. ICT Consultancy Centre (ICT)

The Campus specializes in training, research and innovations mainly in the field of enterprise development, social sciences and other applied science to suit the needs of a dynamic world. The Campus also offers Consultancy Services in all these disciplines and has in the past served across the Public, Private sector and civil societies through collaborations, linkages and Consulting Services.

EXECUTIVE MASTERS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (EMBA):

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field of study plus three years post qualification working experience in a Senior Management position. OR
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA (K), CSIA (K), CPS (K), ACCA (level 3), plus three years post qualification working experience in a Senior Management position. OR
  • Higher National Diploma in any field of study, plus three years post qualification working experience in a Senior Management position.

  • One (1) Year.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MASS COMMUNICATION:

  • Meangrade C+ (plus) in KCSE with C (plain) in English/Kiswahili and minimum pass in Maths OR
  • KACE certificate with a minimum of 2 principal passes and a minimum of credit pass in English at KCE and minimum pass in Maths OR Diploma or professional certificate holder in a relevant discipline

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS OTHER PROGRAMMES:

  • KCSE meangrade C+ (plus) and grades C (plain) in Mathematics and English. OR
  • KACE certificate with 2 Principal and 1 subsidiary passes, and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at KCE. OR
  • Diploma in relevant discipline with credit pass from JKUAT or from an institution recognized by University Senate.

EXEMPTION FROM YEAR 1 REQUIREMENTS:

  • CREDIT pass and above in diploma from JKUAT in a relevant discipline
  • CREDIT pass and above in Diploma in relevant fields from other institutions recognized by the University Senate
  • Holders of CPA/CPS/ACCA/CCP finalist (level 6)
  • JKUAT DMIT/DIT OR ADIT, KSPS; OR KNEC

  • KCE Division III with a pass in both Mathematics and English. OR
  • CREDIT pass in any relevant certificate course with at least KCSE mean grade D+ (plus).

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR IT DIPLOMAS:

  • KCSE Meangrade C (plain) and C- (minus) in Maths and English OR
  • Division II in KCE with credit passes in Maths and English or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Senate.
  • A CREDIT pass in JKUAT IT Certificate.
