All About Kakamega High School

Kakamega high school is a four year High School located in Kakamega, Kenya. It is currently categorized by the Ministry of Education Kenya as a National  school.

Kakamega High is notable in the country for top performances in the disciplines of academics and extra curricular activities such as Drama and sports.

The school was founded in 1914 but established/started admitting students in 1933 by Mr. Harold Arthur waterloo Chapman the school was the 1st African government school in the region. As the 1st principal Chapman dedication to education he pioneered many projects in the school putting up major facilities notably the lecture hall, dormitories, kitchen and other facilities that today stand as a pillar for the rich history of the school.

Many years later Kakamega High School has developed to be the best in the region, situated along Kakamega – Kisumu high way the school has a suitable environment for both academic and co-curricular development.
