The term of office for the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Francis Aduol, has been renewed for five years effective May 16, 2018. Education Cabinet Secretary, Amb. Amina Mohammed made the appointment on Friday morning. The VC thanked the CS and promised to steer the University to greater heights of development.

Prof Aduol was first appointed VC in 2013 when the Kenya Polytechnic University College was elevated and renamed The Technical University of Kenya and issued with a Charter by President Mwai Kibaki. Under his watch, TU-K has grown to be the sixth largest university in Kenya in terms of student and staff numbers.
