Jomo Kenyatta University Of Agriculture And Technology Westlands Campus , JKUAT Westlands Campus is situated along Kabasiran Avenue off Waiyaki way, approximately 10 kilometers from the Central Business District (CBD). Its in a serene environment conducive for learning.

It offers JKUAT programmes which are highly recognized in the labour market to a wider population. One of the principal driving force behind the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology – (JKUAT) Westlands Campus is to ensure that higher quality education is available and accessible to the population and also help in the realization of vision 2030.    The Campus initially started as a center and opened its doors to the first students in May 2002. It was elevated to a Campus in 2007 and in 2013 the Campus name was changed from JKUAT Nairobi Campus to JKUAT Westlands Campus.

Currently the campus has introduced new programmes and offers weekends and evening classes.

About

Nairobi Campus was started in 2002 with the objective of taking education closer to our clients in Nairobi city and its surrounding. Situated along Waiyaki Way, Opposite CCK next to Kianda School.   It is a Campus that started as a small centre offering IT and Business courses which included certificates, diplomas and degrees.  The Centre has grown steadily in terms of student population and the number of courses offered.

In 2008, the Centre was elevated into a Campus of the university offering more courses in the School of Human Resource Development (SHRD), Institute of computer Science and Information Technology (ICSIT) and Faculty of Science.  The most popular courses with our students are: Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science (BAS), Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT), Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), Bachelor of Purchasing and Supplies Management (BPS).  The Campus also offer post graduate courses including MBA, MSC. Procurement and Logistics, MSC Entrepreneurship, MSC Statistics, and Msc Bioinformatics, Msc Computer Science and Msc. Software Engineering.

The Campus also supports other postgraduate courses offered by other institutes such as MSC Environmental legislation and Management, MSC in Energy Technology and MSC in Occupational Safety and Health of the Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology (IEET).

In 2013 the campus name was changed to Westlands campus. New programmes and courses have been introduced.
