Maseno University Bus, A Maseno University bus was yesterday attacked by locals in Muga, Vihiga County.
The locals, mainly the youth, were allegedly performing rituals in preparation for their annual circumcision ceremony.
They blocked the road and stoned the bus smashing several windows.
The bus which had around fifteen students and a university official was on its way to the Main campus when the incident happened.
The driver reported the matter at Muhdete Police Station and the security officers in conjunction with the locals cooperated promptly and managed to apprehend six suspects.
Speaking on behalf of his fellow students, Hillary Clinton condemned the horrifying incident.
“I am condemning this act in the strongest terms possible and the people leading those rituals need to be arrested,” he said.
No injuries were reported and the students traveled safely in an alternative bus.
