Mount Kenya University Lodwar Campus, History will be made when Mount Kenya University commissions its new Lodwar Campus Science and Technology Centre in Turkana County tommorrow. This is Kenya’s first private university since independence to be established in the vast, resource-rich area of Northern Kenya.
The university established the Campus in 2011 and within the short period, it has had a tangible impact on the lives of the community. Students hail from neighbouring counties and as far as South Sudan.
This veritable oasis was constructed as a result of a Private-Public Partnership between MKU and Turkana County Government.
