Mount Kenya University Medicine

Mount Kenya University Medicine, Clinical Medicine Department was founded in 2006.  The department started with Diploma in Clinical Medicine as its pioneer course.  Four years later, a BSc in Clinical Medicine was started being the first one in the country. The courses are approved by the Ministry of Health through the Clinical Officers Council. Due to the growing demand for quality health care, the department started offering additional courses which offer opportunities to Clinical Officers and other health professionals for further development academically and professionally and at the same time improve standards of Health care in the country.

Be a holder of KCSE certificate with a minimum aggregate of C + and C+ in Biology or Biological Sciences, English or Kiswahili, in Chemistry or Physical Sciences and in Mathematics or Physics Or Diploma/Higher National diploma in clinical medicine and surgery from a recognized institution8 semesters Ksh.105,000 per semester 
Bachelor of Science in Health Records and Information Technology    KCSE mean grade of C+ with C (plain) in Maths/Physics, C (plain) in English /Kiswahili and Biologyor Diploma in Health records and information technology from a recognised institution  8 semester ksh 60,000 per semester (full-time)virtual learning /weekend ksh 42,000 per semester
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery      KCSE certificate with a minimum of grade C plain or equivalent qualifica- tion recognized by University Senate. With C in Biology/Biological sciences; English/Kiswahili; C- in any of the following TWO areas Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences9 trimesters Ksh.56,000 per trimester
Diploma in Health Records & Information Technology       At least KCSE certificate with a minimum of grade C and C in any of the following Mathematics, Biology or English.
Or
Professional certificate in health records from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
