Strathmore University Uk, Strathmore University School of Accountancy (SOA)has partnered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to strengthen the profession in Kenya.
The partnership will include training accounting students towards an ICAEW professional qualification and preparing mid-career professional accountants who wish to upgrade their qualifications to what is required by the UK professional body.
Last year, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya signed a deal where Kenyan accountants will be recognised in the UK market.
Kenyan accountants who wish to become ICAEW certified will however be required to sit three final examinations, after being exempted from 12 others.
