University Of Eldoret Deputy Vice Chancellors, University of Eldoret welcomes the appointment of Prof. Wilson Ng’etich as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Finance). He takes over from Prof. Pius Kipkemboi who served as the Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Finance) from July 15th, 2015.

Prof. Ng’etich holds a Doctorate Degree in Agricultural Water Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of Nairobi.

He started working in 1988 at Tea Research Foundation of Kenya where he rose from Assistant Research Officer to Principal Research Officer by the time he left to join Moi University in 2007. He started as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Soil Science, teaching soil physics and soil-plant-water relations. He was appointed the Head of Department in October 2008, a position he held until August 2016.

He became an Associate Professor in October 2012. He continues to teach soil physics and crop modelling at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has supervised and examined a number of postgraduate candidates. He is a member of a number of professional associations locally and abroad. He is active in research, with current interests in degraded lands. His latest role at the University of Eldoret was the Ag. Director, Town Campus, a role he held from August 2016 till his new appointment.
